We have just returned from a family wedding in the Elk which was fabulous in every way. We arrived to a tea and coffee reception with music in the foyer/bar area. We then went upstairs to a fabulous champagne reception. The Creagh Suite was decorated to perfection (from the wall of fairy lights) to the delicious wedding meal.The chair covers and flowers arrangements were ornate and colourful. The meal was so impressive served promptly by diligent and attentive staff. I had ordered the chicken in leek sauce which was delicious as was the trio of desserts. Obviously the talented chef and his team were busy serving 190 hungry guests. The food was of a very high standard and was served quickly and efficiently.
Judith (the mistress of ceremonies) was efficient and friendly - her speeches and oratory skills were unsurpassed. Judith kept the whole day flowing - sleek management in a friendly low-key style. The owner Mr Dick Mc Keague was on hand to meet and greet and he ensured that all personal needs were met. Bar Staff Lisa and Ciaran were particularly attentive
Staff at the Elk made this special day unforgettable! Weddings are just not another function - they are unique occasions that are important to the individual and the Elk Management and Staff recognised that.
Thanks to the professional, competent and caring staff we had another fabulous meal and function in the Elk. This beautiful setting, professional service and attentive staff and excellent food make this the premier wedding venue in Mid-Ulster.

We have been eating out at The Elk for quite a while now for various different occasions - birthdays, week night treats, Xmas party nights, lunches, coffee and scones - and we find that no matter what the occasion is - the food is amazing, the service and Staff are more than attentive and welcoming! It never fails! The level of service is consistent - and taste of the food is delicious! It has to be said that the excellence generates from the Kitchens (the often unseen talent of any Eatery) so make sure to try lots of different things on the menu (esp the roasted Market Veg!) - you will not be disappointed! The value and satisfaction for money is untouchable by other venues!
We also had our Wedding there last month and from the moment you arrive - the Staff are so professional and attentive - the whole day was made extra special by the obvious efforts of everyone involved! Given the positive experiences I have had at the Elk - booking this as our Wedding venue was such a huge weight of my mind as I knew it would be an amazing reception and that they would deliver a flawless service!
